ONLINE Exhibit Entry Saves You Time!

Avoid the Lines! Exhibitors who pre-register their exhibits online will drop off exhibits in one location at the fair. Once you register, entry tags may be picked up the next day at the fair office Monday-Friday from 10:00 am-4:00 pm, starting July 1!

Entries for non-perishable items will ONLY be accepted on Saturday, July 13 from 9:00am to 1:30pm for the following Departments and Classes:

Department C – 4-H Club – Classes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 12
Department E – FFA – Classes 8 & 9
Department N – Canning – All Classes
Department P – Handwork – All Classes
Department R – Adult Crafts – All Classes
Department U – Photography – All Classes
Department V – Fine Arts – All Classes
Department Y – Junior Crafts – All Classes

Entries for perishable items in the following Departments and Classes will ONLY be accepted on Saturday, July 20 from 9:00am to 1:30pm.

Department C – 4-H – Classes 2, 8, 9, 10, 11,
Department E – FFA – Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,
Department K – Horticulture, Field Crops & Seeds – All Classes
Department M – Honey & Molasses – All Classes
Department O – Pastries

Entries in Department S – Ornamental Horticulture will be accepted as follows:

Plants & Floral Design Saturday, July 20 from 9:30am – 1:30pm
Classes 1, 2, & 3

Roses & Cut Flowers Saturday, July 20 from 9:30am – 1:30pm

Judging will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. The exhibits will not be open to the public until the gates open at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
Prior to entering exhibits, each exhibitor will be issued a number which is to be used to enter all items.
All 4-H and FFA exhibits are limited to Greene County residents.
Exhibits and awards may be picked up on Monday, from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm, following the close of the fair. No exhibit may be removed without presenting the proper claim ticket.

In lots where exhibits are made by only one exhibitor, the Fair will pay only second premium money, and that only if the entry is worthy.

The right is reserved to withhold the premiums awarded in any case where the Fair deems that the regulations have not been complied with; or that fraud or deception has been attempted; or where an exhibit is not worthy. The decision of the Board or its representatives shall be final and binding on all parties.

Judges will be instructed not to award premiums to any exhibit because of its presence. It must be worthy. It is not the policy of the Fair to encourage indifferent production. No premium will be awarded to any exhibit that does
not possess high intrinsic merit.

The single judge system is the policy of the Fair. Judges will be selected with the utmost care.

The Fair reserves the right to use the three judge system should circumstances arise where it would prove of mutual benefit to the Fair and the exhibitors. The Fair reserves the right to substitute judges in place of those named.
In cases of doubt or difficulty, judges will consult with the chairperson of the department.

Any exhibitor attempting or in any way interfering with the judges in their adjudications will be promptly excluded from competition and any premiums awarded withheld.

The decision of the judges will be final.

Other than livestock, exhibits which have previously won in this fair are not eligible for prizes.

General Admission:

Exhibits and awards may be picked up on Monday, from 9:00 – 7:00 p.m., and Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., following the close of the fair on Sunday. No exhibit may be removed without presenting the proper claim ticket.

It is the policy of the Greene County Fair Association that any assisted living organization that wishes to bring mentally or physically challenged people to the fair may purchase 1-day passes in advance for Â½ price per person.

Unless they are issued a daily or weekly pass by the Board of Directors, all persons will be required to purchase a ticket each time they enter the grounds.

Parking is free. Only those vehicles issued a permit by the Board of Directors will be allowed to park inside the gates. Violators will be towed at the ownerâ€™s expense.

It is the policy of the Greene County Fair, Inc. that no animal shall be permitted on the grounds, other than those involved in events sanctioned by the Fair, such as a pet show, wildlife exhibits, petting barn, or livestock show or exhibit. Animals involved in such events shall be restrained in a manner considered proper by the Board of Directors of the Fair. The only exceptions to this policy are those animals which are used by the handicapped, for example, seeing eye dogs.

The Greene County Fair, Inc. reserves to its Board of Directors the final and absolute right to interpret all rules and regulations; and arbitrarily settle and determine all matters, questions, and differences in regard thereto, or otherwise arising out of, connected with, or incidental to the Fair.

ALL PREMIUM CHECKS ARE VOID AFTER SIXTY (60) DAYS.

Exhibiting does not entitle the exhibitor to free admission to the grounds.

No entries will be accepted later than the dates listed in this catalog.

Unless otherwise stated, only one entry may be made by an exhibitor in any one lot.

Each department superintendent has the right to add lots when necessary, so that non-catalog exhibits can be entered.

Exhibitors must be the bona fide owners of the entry exhibited. All crops exhibited must be produced during the current fair year.

Exhibitors must use only the space assigned by the superintendent of the department.

Protests will be decided by the Executive Committee. Only those protests made in writing on a form provided by the Fair and accompanied by a $25.00 deposit will be considered. This deposit maybe forfeited to the Fair in the event the protest fails.

The Fair will not be responsible for any damage to exhibits, but will take reasonable precautions to guard against loss or damage.

The President of the Fair shall have supervision and control of all exhibits; and reserves the right to prescribe the dimensions and positions of all signs, to control the distribution of all advertising, and generally to direct the fair as to
appearance. All instructions shall come from the President or through his/her authorized representatives.

No commercial exhibit or concession shall be removed from the grounds prior to the close of the fair.

Commercial Exhibitors

Commercial exhibits are to be completed by 10:00 p.m. on the Sunday prior to the opening of the fair on Monday. No vehicles are allowed on the fairgrounds after gates open at 4pm each day. All deliveries must be made before 4pm. Exhibitors are not allowed to remove their exhibits during the fair. Exhibits may be taken down on Monday from 9am to 7pm or Tuesday from 9am to 5pm after the fair has concluded.
