Fine Arts - Paintings and Drawings

All entries in this
department will be accepted on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. till 4:00
p.m.
All entries submitted should
be originals by the exhibitor. Materials from art books and publicized
photographs are not considered originals.
Anyone who derives 25% of
their income from art is considered Professional and is not eligible to enter
exhibits.
No more than two pieces of
art work in any one lot for any one person.
ALL ART WORK MUST BE PROPERLY FRAMED AND WIRED FOR HANGING OR IT WILL NOT BE
ACCEPTED. CHILDREN’S ART MAY BE BACKED WITH MAT BOARD, POSTER BOARD, ETC.
A portrait is center-focused
and is defined as head and shoulders focused above the waist in which the
subject matter can easily be recognized.
Landscapes may include
buildings, bridges, nature, people, or wildlife which is recognizable.
Any art work which has received a Blue Ribbon from the Greene County Fair is not
eligible to reenter.
Any media so-desired by the
artist may be used for any category. (Pastel, Acrylic, Charcoal, Water Color,
Oil and Pen and Ink may be used).
Each Painting must be
relatively flat, (4" or less) in thickness and no three dimensional art or not
any larger than 36" x 48".
Vehicles include cars,
trucks, trains, motorcycles, tanks, buses, and etc.
All premium checks void after sixty (60) days.
